Facing the challenges of litigation after a car accident

For those that have been injured in a car accident due to the negligence of another driver, the days following the accident are some of the most crucial for recovery. Not only is it important to seek immediate and comprehensive medical care, but it is equally important to speak with an attorney about a potential personal injury lawsuit.

Negligent drivers pose dangers for summer travelers

Hopefully, you will have plenty of time this summer to be with your family and friends. One of the great joys of summer is being able to take a road trip or vacation with the people you care about. It is extremely important to be aware of the potential hazards you may face while driving.

What should be included in my road trip vacation plans?

As the summer months approach, you may be dedicating more thought to your vacation plans. And if you are anticipating hitting the highways to venture to exciting locales, you will likely want to map out your travel itinerary well in advance. By doing this, you will not only maximize the fun you can have while on the road, but you can also improve your chances of arriving at your destination and returning home safely.

How should I counter the actions of an aggressive driver?

Typically, driving on the thoroughfares of Utah is a safe endeavor. As long as all motorists adhere to the rules of the road and look out for one another, we can all reach our destinations without incident. However, it only takes one negligent driver to create a hazardous situation. And those who drive in an aggressive manner are not only intimidating, they also pose serious dangers for others on the road.

Drunk driving leads to tragedy in Utah and across the country

When someone makes the choice to drink and drive, they place everyone, motorists and pedestrians alike, in potential danger. And sadly, far too many people engage in this dangerous activity, often with tragic consequences. In fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, every day in the United States, there are nearly 30 fatalities attributable to accidents involving alcohol-impaired drivers.

Owners are responsible for their cars even when on loan

It is not unusual for people to lend out their cars to a friend or family members. But many people do not realize this could leave them vulnerable to litigation if that person gets into an accident with their car. This puts the victims of the accidents in somewhat of a legal limbo. What if the driver does not have an auto insurance policy that covers them while they are driving other peoples' cars? What happens if the driver does not have enough money to cover your medical expenses? There are many unique issues that rear their head during these cases.

Should I see a doctor after a car accident?

Even minor car accidents have the potential to leave the parties involved in a state of shock and panic. The moments immediately following a car accident are of extreme importance if there is any hope of seeking compensation for your loss or damages. What you do or don't do may significantly impact the outcome of an insurance investigation, criminal investigation or personal injury claim.

Man seriously injured in Utah car accident

Utah's Interstate 215 was the scene of a horrible crash early Thanksgiving morning that left a 23-year-old man in seriously critical condition. The 23-year-old was traveling east on the highway when he struck the back end of a flatbed truck. The truck was allegedly carrying empty barrels while traveling east when the collision happened. The flatbed then hit a sound wall, and both the car and truck ended up on the highway's right shoulder after the crash.

Newest Zero Fatalities book on its way to Utah teens

Losing a child is one of the most difficult things a person can go through. For parents, talking about the loss of their child is like reliving the pain all over again. In 2014, 29 teens lost their lives on Utah roads, and despite how difficult sharing their stories might be, some of the parents of those children are speaking out in this year's addition of the Zero Fatalities campaign publication.
