Man seriously injured in Utah car accident

Utah's Interstate 215 was the scene of a horrible crash early Thanksgiving morning that left a 23-year-old man in seriously critical condition. The 23-year-old was traveling east on the highway when he struck the back end of a flatbed truck. The truck was allegedly carrying empty barrels while traveling east when the collision happened. The flatbed then hit a sound wall, and both the car and truck ended up on the highway's right shoulder after the crash.

The 23-year-old had to be extracted from his car and taken to a local hospital where his condition was reported to be extremely critical. It is unknown if the driver of the flatbed truck suffered any injuries. The Highway Patrol has not yet released if alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in this crash. And while speed is believed to have been a major factor, it is impossible to know for sure unless there is a thorough investigation.

Sometimes it is difficult to know who bears accountability for a car accident before all the facts are brought to bear. It is possible for an accident to be caused by the actions of a single driver, or it may be that two or more drivers share responsibility for a collision. And perhaps the only way for the truth to come out is by conducting a crash reconstruction to determine what actually happened.

This is why, if you are in a car accident, you may wish to secure the services of a personal injury attorney. The attorney could investigate your accident to help determine liability. The attorney could also act as your representative in pursuing compensation from insurance companies.
